Never underestimate the heart of a champion in game seven.

Golden State was down 3-1 to Oklahoma. Thunder fans were already planning their NBA Finals series.

When Oklahoma was still up 3-2 in the series, a reported as Kevin Durant if Stephen Curry’s defense was underrated as a defender. Russell Westbrook also at the press conference, covered his face and laughed when the question was asked. Keep laughing, Westbrook, keep laughing. Curry gave him the ultimate NBA dagger and drilled a 3 with 26 seconds left to give the Warriors a ten-point lead to win the series in game seven. In Steph Curry fashion, he let his emotions show and Oracle Arena went nuts.

Laughing at the MVP is like laughing at the sports gods and when you disrespect the sports gods they will make it rain- Golden State 3’s. And naturally, every Thunder storm runs out of rain and now the Thunder season is done.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr was asked why the questions about Steph Curry’s toughness keep coming up and he said “because he looks like he’s 12 (years old)”. Now, that’s funny!

The Warriors repeat as the Western Conference Champions and will face LeBron James and the Cavaliers again in the NBA Finals. Last year, the Warriors beat the Cavs 4-2 in the NBA finals. With healthy benches, expect a high scoring series. They met twice this regular season and both times the Warriors won (221-181).

This is LeBrons 6th straight NBA Finals appearance. SIXTH! It’s been a year of making history in then NBA.

• The Warriors became the first team to win 73 games in a season.
• 3rd team to win Conference Finals after trailing 3-1 (1981 Celtics and 1979 Bullets).
• 10th team to win seven game playoff series while being down 3-1.
• 2nd time the Warriors have reached the Finals in back-to-back years (1947 and 1948).
• Teams with the current MVP on their team are now 27-5 all time in Game 7.
• The Warriors 17th win this season after trailing by double-digits; the most in the NBA.
• Curry’s seven threes are the most ever in game seven.
• Before this series, no player in history had ever hit more than 28 threes in a series. Klay Thomas has 30 and Curry had 32; Splash!
• Anderson Varejao is the first player in NBA history to play for both of the league’s finalists in the same season. (Currently with the Warriors.)
• During the Durant-Westbrook era, 4 of the 5 teams to eliminate OKC went on to win it all.

Who’s laughing now, Westbrook? Lets go DubNation, sorry, Byron!
