Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the NFC,
Not every team knew what their post season would be.
The games still to be played left much in the air,
In hopes that Washington would soon be there.

The Commanders were excited all snug in their beds,
While visions of a post season danced in their heads.
And that Jayden Daniels, the league tips their cap,
He just gave Washington fans a reason to clap.

When out on the media there arose such a clatter,
The NFL on streaming is just too much chatter.
Away went the Bengals, this season they crashed,
Tore open my fantasy team and played like trash.

The moon was bright as Dan Quinn came to town,
He gave the us the best chance to turn things around.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a betting season that made you drink a lot of beer.

With a little old toe, so close but Likely wasn’t in,
I knew in a moment Kansas City’s luck was to win.
The Eagles took a hard loss to the Falcons at home,
And Tua took ANOTHER hit to his dome.

Now, Burrow! Now, Daniels! Now, Heisman vs Heisman!
On, LSU! On, Tigers! On, Neck- now, play again.
First game with zero turnovers or punts we saw,
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!

As Washington traveled to face Kliff’s old team,
A revenge game beatdown will make you gleam.
So now it’s week five and our record is 4 & 1,
Finally, watching the Commanders is fun!

And then, Darnold had the Vikings with 5 wins,
Next the Jets told Saleh they didn’t want him.
Deshaun Watson has more lawsuits than touchdowns,
Yes, the Cleveland Browns are as bad as it sounds.

Davante Adams joined Rodgers on the New York Jets,
And Barkley reminded the Giants of their biggest regret.
As a walk-off hail Mary left the NFL in shock and awe,
Saquon Barkley’s spin/jump/pike, man he can ball.

Joe Flaco is still playing and got the start for Colts,
While Dak’s hamstring told him it’s time to bolt.
Watching the Giants & Panthers play in Germany, Eww,
I guess we haven’t forgiven them for WW1 & 2.

The biggest rivalry game in 30 years for the NFC East,
Ended with a Washington let down, to say the least.
Against Dallas, we couldn’t catch or kick the ball,
Three losses in row, we’re about to lose it all.

The Giants announced they released Daniel Jones,
Tennessee in town & Jayden stayed in the red zone.
Burrow’s house was broken into as he won a Monday fight,
We know his closet wasn’t the robbers target that night.

Belichick to UNC so his gf is closer to people her own age,
While De’Vondre Campbell quit on the 49er’s in a bit of rage.
Spencer Rattler’s final throw was incomplete,
And a comeback against Philly, oh how sweet!

There’s still two weeks of games to play,
We just need to win one, or that’s what they say.
So keep believing in the burgundy and gold,
Because singing HTTC, never gets old.
