Coach Prime is putting on a show in Colorado on and off the field. The Buffs were picked to win one game this season and now they are ranked 18th in the country with a 2-0 record. Deion Sanders has lived a life thriving in the spotlight. Neon Deion has always been media sound-byte gold with a highlight-reel you can watch on repeat. Prime Time was the original influencer and there isn’t a brand like him today.

It’s true in sports; if you build a great program, the fans will come and support you. He created the hottest ticket in sports right now and the most expensive ticket in college football. The average secondary market ticket price for a Colorado home games is now $517.00! Coach Prime is once again leaving his mark on the game of football. The Prime Time effect is simply historical. Who had Boulder Colorado being the center of college football? And he said he is not going anywhere.
It’s not just the fans selling out Folsom Field. Everyone wants to be part of the Prime Time experience. ESPN’s First Take, the Pat McAfee Show, and 60 Minutes all had their Friday shows from Colorado’s campus. College GameDay and FOX Sports Big Noon Kickoff will both host there live pregame shows on Saturday morning.
Shade
As if the Rocky Mountain showdown didn’t need any attention. Colorado State Head Coach, Jay Norvell, threw some shade at Coach Prime for his personal style. During an interview with ESPN, Norvell said “I took my hat off, and I took my glasses off…When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and my glasses off. That’s what my mother taught me.”
The best shade move was from Chase Fisher, the CEO of Blenders Eyewear. Deion has worn shades his entire career inside or outside. Blenders had a partnership in place with the team to create the Prime 21 gold and the Prime 21 black sunglasses to reflect CU’s colors. Blenders was already planning to launch their Prime 21 line for pre-order on Friday. The sports gods were aligned with Norvell’s drama and Blender got more PR than they could have dreamed of. Instead of listing the shades online for sale, the video of Coach Prime giving each player the Prime 21 gold “showstoppers” went viral.
