Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the NFL
Not a Commander fan believed that Snyder would ever sell.
The Harris team took over with some Magic in the shares,
In hopes that they could rebuild a fanbase that cares.
The playoff teams nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of the post season danced in their heads.
And then there’s Sam Howell who spent the season on his back,
That’s what happens when you take the most sacks.
When out on the media there arose such a clatter,
The NFL learned quickly that the Swifties do matter.
Away went week one, where the QB’s were trashed,
Tore open Rodgers Achilles and the Jets were crashed.
The moon was leaning in Washington’s favor,
With a failed 2-pt attempt, Russ wasn’t the savior.
When, what to Geno’s wondering eyes should appear,
But a referee saying: “I’m talking to America here”.
With a 2-game win streak, Washington found a spark,
And then the beatdown by the Bills sure left a mark.
The Dolphins showed the Broncos some grace,
Tua wasn’t benched as they stared history in the face.
No Rodgers! No Cousins! No Burrow and Watson,
Out Herbert! Out Jones! Out Smith and Richardson.
To the top of QB ranks, fantasy teams do fall,
My fantasy team is done, now dash away, dash away all.
Kansas City was at the Jets, but Taylor Swift stole the show,
And then a Thursday night game that I’m glad I didn’t go.
The Eagles lost to the Jets and no teams were left undefeated,
And boy did Jonathan Allen tell the media he was heated.
As the trade deadlines fell on that Halloween night,
Young and Sweat were quickly out of sight.
By trading away your previous first round pick,
The message was clear, Ohio wasn’t a good fit.
Dobbs traded to the Vikings, no practice with the team,
Suddenly, he made Minnesota’s postseason gleam.
Watching NFL teams and something feels off,
Ah, Tom Brady was right, the game is now soft.
Thanksgiving in Dallas was as embarrassing as it can get,
Ron’s record in Washington (26-35-1) shows he isn’t it.
JDR got fired on black Friday, there’s a joke there,
Ron will finish the season, if anyone still cares.
The Eagles have now lost two games in a row,
While the 49er’s are putting on a Prudy good show.
Tommy DiVito was the king of New York overnight,
But a loss to the Saints and he was out of sight.
The Eagles brought in Matt Patricia on the low,
A loss to the Seahawks made it three in a row.
The Bills dominated the Cowboys on the road,
Dallas can only win at home is what it showed.
No Aaron Rodgers for a Christmas miracle return,
The Jets didn’t need him to make WAS feel the burn.
A QB change gave the Commanders some life,
Maybe next year, we will finally get this right.
The season is over, but there’s more game to play,
Changes are coming, at least that’s what they say.
But don’t give up on the burgundy and gold,
Because singing HTTC, never gets old.
