Now that Super Wild Card games are over, it’s time for the real Playoffs to begin. I still want to know what the Dolphins head coach, Mike McDaniel, had in his sideline vape? Why did Kirk Cousins throw a checkdown on 4th & 8? Will Tom Brady return? How hard was Kliff Kingsbury laughing as he bought a one-way ticket to Thailand? These are questions that will not be answered here. It’s time to focus on the playoffs.

Playoffs

This Saturday and Sunday the final eight teams remaining in the playoffs will play to decide who will play in the divisional championships. Saturdays match ups include the weekends highest margin of spreads. Here is your playoff weekend schedule.

Saturday 4:30 PM EST Jaguars vs Chiefs AFC Divisional on NBC KC -8.5
Saturday 8:15 PM EST Giants vs Eagles NFC Divisional on FOX PHI -7.5

Sunday 3:00 PM EST Bengals vs Bills AFC Divisional on CBS BUF -5.5
Sunday 6:30 PM EST Cowboys vs 49ers NFC Divisional on FOX SF-4

Vegan Cheesecake?

The Mayors of Philly and New York City have a down-right disrespectful bet on the game over vegan cheesecake. Yes, VEGAN Cheesecake! Excuse me while I gag. Why in the actual bleep would anyone want a plant-based cheesecake or any artificial dairy, EVER?!? (Sorry, not sorry to all my non-dairy friends. Fake cheese is pure garbage and it’s not even close.) If this was a bet because vegan cheesecake is absolutely repulsive, then HA HA HA, sucks to be the loser. But this bet was based on NYC Mayor Adams thinking VEGAN cheesecake is the best food item in NYC. What a bum!

I’m a Commanders fan, I want both teams to lose. But if you’ve never had a Philly cheesesteak, (that’s STEAK), in Philly, then your tastes buds haven’t lived. People love Pat’s or Geno’s. I rock with Jim’s. Basically, if I have to root for one of these two teams then I’m going Cheesesteak over vegan cheesecake all day. With the Eagles being the favorite, Vegas is betting no vegan cheesecake will be consumed.

Has the next generation of QB’s arrived?

Just a bunch of 20-year old’s running the NFL QB show. Is this the generation of the future?

Joe Burrow #1 overall, LSU 2020
Trevor Lawrence #1 overall, Clemson 2021
Daniel Jones #6 overall, Duke 2019
Josh Allen #7 overall, Wyoming 2018
Patrick Mahomes #10 overall, Texas Tech 2017
Jalen Hurts #53 overall-(R2), Alabama 2020
Dak Prescott #135 overall-(R4), Mississippi State 2016
Brock Purdy #262 overall, Mr. Irrelevant Iowa State 2022

There are five first round draft picks of the eight starting QB’s. One second rounder and one fourth round pick. The wildcard is San Fran’s Brock Purdy, he was the last pick of the 2022 draft. Due to injuries to QB1 and QB2, Mr. Irrelevant has looked Purdy good.

For the first time in thirteen years, neither Tom Brady nor Aaron Rodgers reached the divisional round of the playoffs. The other ‘old QB’s who are still active, Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan. Both with 15 seasons in the league and both showed us why they both should retire. Matt Stafford, Andy Dalton and Russell Wilson are all on their decline. Kirk Cousins has maybe two more years to prove if he was worth the investment or a fraud.

The young guys are taking over the league and winning important games. The QB is the most valuable position on the field, but just because they are a first-round pick doesn’t mean they will be worth it. Just ask the Jets. Zach Wilson #2 overall in 2021 draft and his career is done! JaMarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, Matt Leinart, Sam Bradford, Tim Tebow, just to name a few of the QB’s who were disappointments. Oh, add RGIII after his rookie year to that list.

If you want your kid to play in the NFL send them to the Manning Passing Academy and maybe they will become counselor and play in the NFL playoffs too.

I don’t care who you root for or who you bet on this weekend, just please, don’t eat vegan cheesecake.
