The Playoffs in reach by all four teams is rare,
In hopes that the Commanders would soon be there.
The games were set and the season was hanging by shreds,
While visions of the post-season danced in their heads.
And the Eagles and the Cowboys were already in,
The pressure was on, the Commanders have to win.
When out on the media there arose such a clatter,
Just kidding, Brady came back, nothing is the matter.
Away went the season, it’s gone by so fast,
How did my fantasy team play like bleeping trash?
The season started with a new team name,
But the Commanders still needed a QB to win games.
Gave up a second rounder to make a trade,
Wentz for $28 million, man, he got paid!
With a little old song, so lively and quick,
Who knew ‘Left Hand Up’ would stick.
A 4th quarter surge to beat Jacksonville at home,
It was a different outcome against Detroit in a dome.
No, Russ! No, Rodgers! No Brady or Watson,
On, Mahomes! On, Hurts! On ,Burrow, and Allen!
To all of the doubters calling Kirk Cousins a fraud,
Now dash away, dash away, dash away and applaud.
As Matt Ryan got benched, Taylor Heinicke got the start,
That off-season witch made Rodgers’s game fall apart.
Russell was saying, “Broncos Country, Let’s HIDE”
And we are all still asking why Tua’s doctors lied!
When did faking injuries in the end-zone become a trend,
But for Zack Wilson, his playing career has come to an end.
The NFC and AFC South are both really bad,
We’re still wondering if the Dan Campbell experiment is a fad.
The Panthers told Matt Rhule his coaching job was done,
And Steve Wilks would be the guy to make it more fun.
A bundle of noise was created with the Panthers discontent,
And Anderson looked pissed, but to the locker room he went.
Our eyes-how they squinted when Saturday was named,
The Colts fired Reich and needed someone to blame.
The Packers beat the Bears and Rodgers waved goodbye,
Sounds like Aaron will have a new training camp in July.
Heinicke’s record is now 5-2- and one,
This ODU kid was getting the job done.
Baker was traded to LA but the Ram’s season was beat,
Add Kliff Kingsbury to the coaching hot-seat.
Matt Ryan was back with more career misery,
He has the biggest blown leads in NFL history.
Josh McDaniels head coaching is still put to the test,
That Patriots-Raiders ending we’re still trying to digest!
The Giants and Commanders in a prime-time show,
And Thibodeax is now a name everyone knows.
The game ended in a questionable non-call,
But there were penalties on both sides of the ball.
With three games left, winning will extend the season,
Heinicke’s new pair of Jordan’s will be the reason.
But don’t give up on the burgundy and gold,
Because singing HTTC, never gets old.
